ALL TEACHERS…you know what I am talking about! The amazing dollar spot, mini erasers and all things classroom manipulatives, yet, also the HARDEST thing to find! Then you find them, and what do you do with them?! Well, here are the five ways I use them in my classroom…
1. Math Manipulatives- perfect to provide in math centers and incorporate a little seasonal flair! They also work as a way to teach patterns, or instead of tracing numbers, use the fine motor pinchers and place the erasers on the number tracing mat.
2. Literacy Skills Manipulatives- perfect for letter tracing mats or sight word tracing mats! The students love trying to create a letter or word with the fun seasonal erasers.
3.BINGO chips-a way to change up the classic BINGO chips or dabbers.
4. Partner Pairing- sort two of each kind of eraser for how many pairs you are trying to make. Hand out the erasers and TAH-DAH! Have your kiddos find their match and find their partner. It takes the pressure off of you and makes it fun for them.
5.Gifts- I love slipping them into gift bags for my kiddos. I also provide a seasonal pencil and a notebook or workbook, which I usually find in the dollar spot as well!
Happy Shopping!
