Check out these ways to Reuse playdoh containers in the classroom! We have a lot of them, love using the playdoh…but then what?! Here are 5 ways I plan to use the empty containers in my Kindergarten classroom…
5 way to reuse playdoh containers:
1. Crayon and Pencil Holders– I am going to place several on each table to hold our crayons and pencils. Pencils can be a little too heavy-depending on what size container you are using.
2. Math Manipulatives– I am going to place my day-to-day whole group math manipulatives in each container. This way, I will have the correct amount of manipulatives for each student ahead of time. I don’t need to worry about them falling all over the place, or quickly passing them out and counting as I go! Prep in the morning and done!
3.Mother’s Day Gift Planters/Spring Activity-Check out this blog to see how to use them as planters! So creative!
4.Hold game pieces for centers– They fit great in my center bins! When I pull a center, I will place the cards, dice, whatever material that is needed and fits in the container.
5.Hold Art/Craft Pieces- Great for holding paint, water for watercolor, beads, etc. They wash easily too!
BONUS IDEAS
*Target Mini Eraser Holders-I know you own mini erasers! Playdoh containers fit a whole package and stack nicely on shelves and in cupboards!
*Warm and Fuzzies-If you use warm and fuzzies for a behavior management plan, velcro these to the student desks and collect pom-poms!
