2019-2021 Kindergarten Classroom Set-up

Check out this Bug Themed Kindergarten Classroom Set-Up! Here is my classroom reveal from the 2019-2021 school year! I have BEFORE and AFTER shots of my new space, including where I got the BUGS Theme Classroom Decor and items within it! During play, the toys usually get spread out around the room. This stage area is where toys will be stationed and housed! All toys present in this image were childhood toys, from garage sales or donors choose projects! In the “AFTER” image, you can also see my “morning bin” cart. This cart will house all the daily morning bins and choices! I love that it is on wheels so I can move it around as I see fit.

Here is where whole group teaching will happen! I am trying a portable word wall this year and I am SO excited to teach all my Kinders the strategy and resource. In the floor section, my rug will also be placed.

Here is the calendar area! Calendar/Morning Meeting is one of my favorite times of the day! I have adjusted how many “Jobs” I will be using this year, and you can see the “Jobs” board to the right of the Calendar area. Some items for the calendar will also be located on the whiteboard next to the Calendar bulletin board!

This is my Small Group Area! I have placed my kidney shaped table in front of this space and this bulletin board will house all the “Anchor Charts” we make through-out the year!

Here is my “Reading Nook” I will also have a book display to feature seasonal and monthly themed books!

This side of the classroom will also be our learning bulletin boards for, “reading”, “writing”, and “math.” I will display anchor charts, learning flash cards etc.

This final area of the room below is the “Student Cubby Area”. In the BEFORE photo, this student area is located to the right of it. In the “AFTER” photo, I will be using these hooks and cubbies for student belongings. The rainbow drawers will be used for mailboxes. The students will store, extra clothes, and personal belongings that they will not need to reach often in the cubbies! These are located directly to the right of the front door, so our morning routine should flow nicely!
